ACC task force probes BNP whip Jamal's wealth
A task force of Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has stated probe into alleged corruption accumulation of wealth illegally by former BNP whip and Red Crescent Chairman Shahidul Huq Jamal.
The task force team no.4 headed by Maj. Zahid inquired about Jamal's wealth at his native Banaripara upazila town and Labonsara village home on Thursday. They went to local land registration office, Uupazila Parishad office and banks to probe the former whip's assets.
Declining to give details, sources in the team said there are allegations against Zamal that he possesses wealth and properties beyond his know legal sources of income. He earned those by using political power and influence.ds and relief, the sources said.
The investigation report may be submitted to ACC at the end of this month, they said.
