Those who are opposing the government move to operationalise the CHT accord are simply showing their disrespect for fundamental rights of the ethnic minorities. I am afraid the support of the political leaders, especially the "Gang of Three", of the BNP might provoke a situation so that the present move of the government is halted. I would urge upon the leadership of the ethnic minorities to keep a close watch on the law and order situation in the CHT and elsewhere.
