Three skulls, bones dug up in Pabna
The skulls and bones of three persons were dug up from PK Saha Road in Beltala of Pabna town yesterday morning.
Locals said the recovered skulls and bones might be of the villagers who were martyred by the Pakistan occupation army during the 1971Liberation War.
“Pakistani soldiers picked up several freedom fighters and locals including Batu Babu, his son Goura Saha, and Sushil Kumar Talukdar Naru of the area in mid-April of 1971. The soldiers killed them mercilessly. We guess that the recovered skulls and bones might be of those martyrs,” said local resident Md Saiful Islam.
Labourers found the skulls and bones when they were digging up the soil at his residence.
