SI closed for bribery
Sub-inspector (SI) Humayun Kabir of Patkelghata Police Station was closed to Satkhira police line on Friday night allegedly for releasing two arrested 'cheats' in exchange of bribe.
The two 'cheats' --Yusuf Ali of village Dashkaunia in Keshabpur upazila and Mafizul Islam of village Jujkhola in Tala upazila -- who were arrested on Thursday evening, got release from the police station the next morning.
Quddus filed an allegation with Patkelghata Police Station against the two as they were dilly-dallying to give a 'gold doll' for the money he had given them.
But SI Humayun allegedly took Tk 10,000 from the accused and released them from the police station the next day.
