Ramadan's gift

Habibur Rashid Ismail, Jamea Rahmania Fadil Madrasa, Chittagong
The Holy Quran appeared in the holy month of Ramadan and it is a complete and original compilation of the final revelation from Allah to humankind through the last and dearest Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (Pbuh). The Holy Quran has essentially three qualities that make it universal. Firstly, in its original Arabic form, it is a masterpiece of immense literary value. Secondly, though its message is a continuation of what is contained in the earlier revelations made to Prophets Abraham, David, Moses and Jesus, yet this message has a sense of fulfilment and originality. Finally, it has a wealth of information-- both worldly wisdom and spiritual content- which provide the code of life for humankind generally and Muslims (believers who submit to the will of Allah and Rasul) in particular. Indeed, the Quranic miracle lies in its ability to offer at least something to non-believers and everything to believers.
