Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot two Bangladeshis and too them away from Chuadanga border while handed over four others to BDR in Kushtia after three hours of abduction on Saturday night.
A BSF team of Metri camp in Nadia district of West Bengal picked up Bangladeshi citizens Sawan, 32, and Sabdal, 36, after they were bullet-hit by BSF at Shingnagar border point in Damurhuda upazila in Chuadanga at about 8:30pm, said sources of BDR 35 Rifles Battalion in Chuadanga.
BDR sent a letter to BSF asking for a flag meeting but no response was made as of filing this report at about 4:30pm yesterday.
BSF of Charbhadra camp in Zalangi thana in Murshidabad district in West Bengal caught four Bangladeshi people when they entered into Indian territory through Munshiganj border point in Daulatpur upazila in Kushtia district at about 7:30pm on Saturday, BDR-32 Rifles sources said.
After a flag meeting the BSF handed over the Bangladeshi people at about 10:30pm.
BDR handed the four people -- Sabjul, 40, and Babu, 25, of Muhommadpur and Moudud, 45, and Jewel, 38, of Challishpara in Daulatpur upazila in Kushtia -- to Daulatpur police who filed a case against them for illegally crossing the border.
They were produced before Kushtia Judicial Magistrate's Court yesterday and the court sent them to jail.
