Free clipped-lip operation in Khagrachhari
A 3-day camp for free clipped-lip operation for poor patients began at Khagrachhari Zilla Sadar Hospital here yesterday.
Army Brigade of Khagrachhari region and Khagrachhari Hill District Council (KHDC) jointly organised the plastic surgery camp.
KHDC chairman Monindra Lal Tripura and Brigade Commander of Khagrachhari region Brigadier General Kamruzzaman jointly inaugurated the camp.
A 7-member team led by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) associate professor Sharif Hasan is working at the camp.
Among others, Khagrachhari Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shahdat Hossain, Sector Commander Colonel Akter Hossain, Sadar Zone Commander Lt. Colonel Samad Chowdhury, BDR Zone Commander Lt Colonel Ahsan Habib and Khagrachhari Civil Surgeon Dr Abu Taher were present on the occasion.
A total of 35 patients registered their names on the first day of the camp.
