IU teachers demand war criminals' trial
About 50 teachers of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia in a statement have demanded trial of war criminals of 1971.
They condemned the recent comments made by Jamaat-e-Islami leaders Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujaheed and Kader Mollah on war criminals on the Liberation War.
They urged the caretaker government to try war criminals and ban Jamaat politics in the name of religion.
Signatories to the statement include writer and columnist Prof Dr. Rashid Askari, Prof Dr. Kamal Uddin, Prof Moniruzzaman, Prof Dr. Aynul and Mahbubul Arfin.
