Dutch, Swedish envoys visit health projects in Comilla today
Royal Netherlands Ambassador Ms Bea Ten Tusseher and Sweden Ambassador Ms Britt F Hagstrom will today visit Bandhu Social Welfare Society (BSWS) Comilla Field Office and RHSTEP Centre, Comilla Medical College Hospital.
They will meet with the participants of healthcare programme and observe clinic facilities and social group meetings, said a press release of RHSTEP (Reproductive Health Services and Education Programme) yesterday.
RHSTEP, a pioneer in Sexual and Reproduction Health and Rights (SRHR) through a partnership with the government of Bangladesh, aims at achieving improved reproductive health status of women, men and adolescent and reducing maternal and infant mortality and morbidity in Bangladesh.
Located at government medical college hospitals and district hospitals, 18 service centres under the programme are engaged in medical service delivery, and training of doctors, nurses, paramedics and other healthcare providers, said the press release.
