Some suggestions

I would like to suggest the following to the policy makers of our government. 1. The growth of Bangladesh Railway should be considered as a priority sector. At present railway is not getting much attention as it is under the communications ministry. If a separate Railway Ministry is established the sector will see necessary growth in the next few years. 2. At present the defence forces are only getting ration. In a similar way the civil employees of the government particularly the 3rd and 4th class employees may also be given ration. This will also help to stabilize the volatile grain market. 3. The government may waive taxes on import of generators. With this the people will be able to buy generators at a lesser cost thereby lessening dependence on government power supply. 4. For the same reason the government may give subsidy on diesel. 5. Most of the students who are enrolled in public universities are from poor families. Therefore they get involved in tendering and extortion. The government may provide Tk 100 per day as pocket money to students of poor financial background from the age of 16 years. The financial background of the concerned individual may be verified from the record of National ID card or some other mechanism may be evolved. This system is in vogue in the UK.
