Power cuts
Earlier there was 1-hr load shedding each day. In order to alleviate the sufferings of the people, recently the govt went for 2-hr load shedding. That of course did not solve our problems.
The IPS which relieved the people to some extent can supply 2 hours of electricity. Now the batteries of the IPS do not get the time to get recharged, resulting in severe discomfort to the public. Moreover, the batteries are getting damaged and they are costly. The refrigerators cannot work, which means wastage of food items. We cannot afford solar panels.
The govt has tried many options, like dividing the city into 7-zones (which is also supposed to help ease traffic congestions). They have inaugurated several power plants, they have shut down fertilizer plants to increase gas flow to the power generation plants, to name a few, but to no avail. It seems to me that the authorities in charge of power have no knowledge of what should be done.
Please appoint someone who knows about these matters. Digital Bangladesh can never be achieved if there is no power.
The power sector was never so bad before.
