Hawking's time machine
The subject is a difficult one; I bought the book and had to abandon it only after reading seven pages. How am I going to travel through time machine to the future? Prof. Hawking talked extensively about God particle which is beyond our imagination. How small is small and I am already scratching my head to figure out just a billion-trillion-trillionth of a centimetre.
I am scared; I have seen fighter aircraft flying over my head faster than the speed of sound and at the point of transition the sonic boom is loud enough. If at all it becomes possible to make such travel through time machine through such a tiny space, I wonder what would be the effect in comparison to sonic boom effect.
Forget about 80 years, would we be able to withstand the pressure change that will take place to the atmosphere travelling at that amazing speed within such shorter period of time? Dr. Hawking explained the big bang theory and the creation of earth. If that is so, reversing the process will be just the opposite. So, it will be destruction of not only the earth, but the whole universe.
One of the last recorded statements of Sir Isaac Newton was this: “I don't know what I may seem to the world. But as to myself, I seem to have been only a boy playing on the seashore and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or prettier shell than the ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.”
