Boy dies in wall collapse
A five-year-old boy was killed and another injured critically as a portion of a wall of an under-construction building fell on them at East Rampura in the city yesterday.
Md Touhid, son of Israfil Hawladar of the area, was declared dead at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). With injury Maruf, 6, was under treatment at DMCH.
Israfil said the accident occurred around 9:30am as his son along with two other children was playing in front of his house in High School Road area.
Suddenly several bricks from a rooftop wall of the four-storey building came loose and collapsed on Touhid and Maruf, he said.
