Khandaker Delwar gets bail
The High Court yesterday granted anticipatory bail for four months to BNP Secretary General Khandaker Delwar Hossain in a graft case.
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on January 16 filed the case against Delwar with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station on charge of unauthorised use of government vehicles.
An HC bench of Justice Shamim Hasnain and Justice MR Hasan also issued a rule upon the government and ACC to explain why the BNP leader should not be granted regular bail in this case.
Delwar appeared before the bench yesterday after he filed a petition with the court seeking anticipatory bail.
