Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in London yesterday morning on an Emirates flight at Heathrow Airport in the UK. At the airport, she was greeted by Andrew Patrick, Asia director of British foreign ministry; and Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK Dr Sayeedur Rahman Khan. UK Awami League (AL) President Shamsuddin Khan and Advisory Board Chairman Sultan Shariff also welcomed Hasina. She will meet British Prime Minister David Cameron today. In a meeting at the airport, she expressed gratitude to the British parliamentarians who helped her gain entry to Bangladesh during the caretaker government in 2007.
