Republic Day of India observed
Indian High Commission in Dhaka yesterday celebrated the 62nd Republic Day of India with traditional pomp and gaiety.
A function with members from Indian community in Bangladesh and the high commission personnel was held at Baridhara in the morning.
High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, Rajeet Mitter, unfurled the national flag and read out President of India Address to the Nation to the assembled guests.
A band of Indian Navy played national and patriotic songs at the function attended by over 500 Indians in Bangladesh.
High Commissioner of India, separately, hosted a reception in the evening at Radisson hotel to mark the day.
