Arial Beel Clash
4,026 sued
Two separate cases were filed with Sreenagar Police Station on Wednesday night against 4,026 unidentified locals of the areas adjacent to Arial Beel in Mushiganj, the site for construction of a proposed airport.
Officer-in-Charge Sakhawat Hossain of Sreenagar Police Station said injured Sub-Inspector Khalid Hossain and helper of Ananda Paribahan Masud Mia filed the cases separately.
At least 20 people including police officers were injured and 20 vehicles were vandalised in Sholaghar during a clash between police and supporters of Arial Beel Rakkha Committee on Wednesday.
