BSF asked to follow restraint in borders
A top official of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) yesterday said BSF in Indo-Bangladesh border has been directed to follow maximum restraint in killing people in bordering areas.
“We are also trying to improve our border management through bilateral efforts,” he said while visiting a BGB check post in Hili Land Port area in Hakimpur, Dinajpur.
SH Pranay Shaha, BSF's special director general (DG) of Eastern Zone of India, was invited by Col Saleh Ahmad, sector commander of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) of Dinajpur.
Pranay told the Bangladeshi journalists that intruder Indian citizens jailed in Bangladesh would be brought back to India as early as possible.
