BSC cargo vessel catches fire

Bangladesh Shipping Corporation's (BSC) cargo vessel Banglar Maya caught fire yesterday evening at River Mooring No #9 in Chittagong port. Sources at BSC said the fire broke out at the Refer Chamber of the ship while welding to repair it was going on around 6:15pm. BSC Managing Director Commodore Moqsumul Quader said there was no significant damage as the ship's crew instantly brought the fire under control.
