Private member's bill placed in parliament
A private member's bill was placed in parliament yesterday proposing to enact a law to ensure maintenance of parents by their sons and daughters.
The proposed legislation also has a provision for punishment for negligence of duties to the parents.

The provisions of the bill said son and or daughter cannot force their parents to live in a separate place or old home; rather they will have to live together with their parents at the same place to ensure their parents' maintenance.
