Punishment demanded for Hena's death
ActionAid Bangladesh yesterday demanded exemplary punishment to the culprits, for whom 14-year-old Hena fell victim to fatwa in Shariatpur and was whipped to death.
It said in a statement that the High Court declared fatwas illegal as a crime, yet fatwas are being issued increasingly. It also demanded the government take steps to stop the crimes.
