Mishu's release demanded
Some forty-five academicians, writers, politicians and media personalities yesterday demanded immediate release of Moshrefa Mishu, president of Garments Sramik Oikya Parishad.
In a joint statement, they expressed concern over the incident of confining her in jail without specific allegation and torturing her in remand.
Noted academicians Prof Mozaffar Ahmed, Anu Mohammad, Dr Gitiara Nasreen, Dr Kaberi Gayen, Prof Mesbah Kamal, Women leader Khushi Kabir, Politician Badaruddin Omar singed the statement.
Mishu was arrested on December 14 last year on charge of damaging vehicles and garments factories.
