Ex-boss of wages board sent to early retirement
The government has sent former chairman of Minimum Wages Board, Ikteder Ahmed, into retirement, about 14 months earlier to his leave preparatory to retirement (LPR).
The law and justice division issued an order yesterday, which said Ikteder's retirement order will be effective from February 8.
Ikteder opted for voluntary retirement protesting his posting to the law and order infringing offences prevention tribunal in Khulna on October 26, 2010.
After his transfer, he wrote to law secretary and sought voluntary retirement considering his new posting disgraceful and inconsistent to his position and painful for him as well.
