Punish those who hid these results and who are working behind it. For these culprits, truth is not disclosed in our country. Azmol
Thanks to the editor for publishing the real story of autopsy. If you did not run the news, the truth would not come out. We want to see exemplary punishment to the OC of the police station and concerned doctors. Fida Likhon
It is shame for the whole nation that Bangladesh has fatwa 'satans' like in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The country has been disgraced before the world community for the fatwa satans. R
A lot of thanks to the HC order for a fresh autopsy, by which the real truth is revealed and also thanks to police for arresting the main culprit. From the fresh autopsy, we already know Hena died from whipping upon issuance of fatwa by the so-called arbitrator (fatwabaz). Now my question is that how did the first autopsy indicate that there was no injury marks on her body? Who were the responsible persons for postmortem? Who were the responsible persons for the inquest report? All they are bribed for manipulating or falsifying the report. If it is true, punishment should be same for them as for the main one. Hashem
Police, civil surgeon, doctors, and nurses concerned to the autopsy will have to be punished because they have committed 'double crimes' -- one against their professions and the other against 'humanity' by making a fake autopsy report. If not punished, people will think that laws are effective and applicable only for the poor. Only Mahbub? No, no! Other people should also be arrested. Kazi Ahmed
I think arrest of the fatwa issuers is even more important than arrest of the rapist. They are equally or even more liable to be punished. Rupok
No sympathy, sentence only death penalty. Nasirullah Mridha, USA
Shariatpur hospital's director, local police station's officer-in-charge, and concerned doctor who made the autopsy report are all guilty of the same offence as rapist Mahbub. Everyone involved in collusion to the death of Hena. We're waiting to see what action the High Court takes against these monstrous perpetrators. Dr Shaidul Kazi, Finland
The HC's intervention has brought a hope to the victim's family that the culprits would be awarded exemplary punishment. We all hope that the HC would monitor the case from a very close distance till its end so that no party can convince Hena's father to withdraw the case through financial transaction. If the concerned government officials are proved that they gave a false postmortem report and police inquest, they should face justice. Anonymous
The court said there is a vast difference between the DMCH autopsy report and the one made earlier by Shariatpur Sadar Hospital and also said both the report cannot be true. It seems the first report is manipulated. Exemplary punishment should be given to the people who have distorted the report. Dipan Kanti Biswas
This case should be handled with good faith. We should help the investigation team to remove any discrimination. Like Hena, there are so many in Bangladesh. Mayen Uddin Tazim, former adviser to UNDP
Thanks to the honourable High Court Judges who have finally intervened in the rape case of Hena. The nation hopes that the HC will properly take role to know why the local administration failed to take proper action in bringing the matter into account.
