Three shops gutted in fire
A motor vehicle repairing workshop and two vehicle spare parts shops were gutted in a fire at Kalabagan bus stand at Hathazari in the port city yesterday.
The fire originated from an electric short circuit at around 6:40am and engulfed the shops soon. Two fire-fighting doused the flame around 7:20am. The loss was estimated at Tk 5 lakh.
