Govt to monitor contraceptive supply online
The ministry of health and family welfare yesterday introduced an Internet-based tool that will help the government monitor the supply chain of government-owned contraceptive stocks nationwide and raise an alert if there is a possible stock shortage.
The tool called Logistics Management Information System (LMIS) was introduced with assistance of the US government, says a press release of the US Embassy in Dhaka. Health Minister AHM Ruhal Haque and USAID Mission Director to Bangladesh Denise Rollins formally launched LMIS at a city hotel.
