College girl 'kills' herself
A college girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan with a scarf at her boyfriend's house at Dakhhingaon area of Sabujbagh in the capital on Wednesday.
Police recovered the body of Arpana Akhtar alias Orpa, 18, a first year HSC student of Kamalapur School and College, from her boyfriend Md Rubel's house around 1:00am yesterday. Police also arrested Rubel, 26, a workshop worker, at that time.
SI Fasiruddin of Sabujbagh quoting Rubel said they had an altercation and at one stage she entered a room, locked it from inside and committed suicide by hanging herself with a scarf. A case was filed Rubel.
