Miscreants stab man to death
Miscreants stabbed a man to death in the outskirt of city's Tongi area last night.
Deceased Ashiqul Islam, 26, resident of Ershadnagar in Tongi, was sitting in a rickshaw garage when a group of criminals attacked, stabbing him indiscriminately and leaving him severely injured.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Ashiqul's wife Ruma Begum claimed that her husband was a source of police and Rapid Action Battalion.
Officer-in-Charge of Tongi Police Station Gazi Ruhul Iman said Ashiqul used to extort money by imposing as a police informer.
