69 supporters of SQ Chy held at 'secret meet'
Police picked up 69 suspected supporters of detained BNP lawmaker Salauddin Quader Chowdhury when they turned up at a local community centre yesterday afternoon.
Detective Branch (DB) and Kotwali police jointly raided Gulshan Club near Kazir Dewry intersection around 4:30pm and detained them while they were in a 'secret' meeting, said Assistant Commissioner (DB) Abdullah Al Mahmud.
The DB official claimed most of them are close aides and supporters of Salauddin.
