MP Anne hurt in road crash
BNP leader and lawmaker Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anne sustained slight injuries in an accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Shahidnagar in Daudkandi upazila yesterday.
Al Amin, personal assistant of Anne, said a jeep carrying Anne suddenly turned inoperative while going to Laxmipur from capital.
The vehicle skidded off the road while it was being pushed on the roadside, leaving Anne injured slightly at about 10:00am.
Anne's elder brother Wahid Uddin Chowdhury Happy, driver Mujibur Rahman and body guard Dulal were also injured. Anne and others returned to capital by another vehicle after the accident.
