Business article from DS issue

Ali Akbar, UK
I was very interested in an article titled "Ports to get private duty-free shops" of The Daily Star Business Desk published on April 22. It was very informative, but it failed to conclude the topics that rose during the news. It mentioned that three companies were leased space to set up duty-free shops at airports flouting the cabinet division and apparently the Internal Resources Division (IRD) of the finance ministry investigated and found that the Civil Aviation Authority had awarded the space without any bond license from the IRD. But, this article did not mention about the actions that IRD is taking against these three companies and what is the legal way of obtaining a license to set up a duty-free shop? I feel you need again to do a follow up article about this as in the UK we have many investors who are very keen on setting up such shops in Bangladesh.
