Restrict CNG supply
Now Bangladesh is faced with serve gas shortages and as a result millions of people are suffering. New gas connections are not being given for domestic purposes mainly cooking and many other household chores. On the other hand, we come across long queues of cars at CNG filling stations.
The government has to decide which comes first, cooking or driving cars? Very naturally it is cooking for in order to survive a person has to eat first and then go for driving cars if things so permit. Many people own and drive multiple cars due to availability of CNG gas, which is considerably adding to the already maddening traffic situation.
Under these compelling situations the government should arrive at a decision to stop supplying CNG gas to all the privately owned motor vehicles and continue to supply CNG gas only to the public transport vehicles and government vehicles.
