6 car lifters held in Ctg
Six members of a car lifting gang were arrested along with a stolen micro bus from Chittagong on Saturday.
Dakshin Surma Police of Sylhet also recovered 50 fake number plates from their possession.
A Noha microbus (Sylhet Cha-11-0417) was stolen from the house of Manik Miah at Kuchai Saarping village in Sylhet on May 20.
As Manik filed a case, police arrested Amanuddin alias Selim, Khairul Islam alias Aaksh and Saddam Hossain alias Kajol from Jaintapur Tea garden area on May 31.
Later, they were produced before the court and taken on remand for 2 days.
Following their confessional statement, Dakshin Surma police launched a drive in Halishahar area of Chittagong on Saturday.
They arrested Jahsinm Uddin, Gias Uddin, Yusuf Ali, Abu Taleb, Shahab Uddin and Alauddin.
They were sent to jail hajat yesterday afternoon after they were produced before the court.
