Man found dead on city road
Police early yesterday recovered the body of a man from the city's Shah Ali.
Locals informed police about a male body, aged around 38, with a white chequered shirt and coffee coloured trousers, lying on Bheribadh road of Nababer Bagh area, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Moniruzzaman of Shah Ali Police Station.
The SI said the man's sexual organ was chopped off and the body bore injury marks around neck.
The victim might have died bleeding from the sliced organ, he said, adding that he was killed elsewhere and dumped there.
Police was trying to find his identity and the killers. The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy, he added.
