Missing cop found after 3 years
A mentally imbalanced police officer, missing for three years, was found yesterday evening at Suhrawardy Udyan in the city.
The officer Faruk Hossain, 32, was Assistant Superintendent of Police, passed in 24th Bangladesh Civil Service examination.
Mohammad Shahidullah, senior assistant commissioner of Detective Branch, said Faruk is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
He slowly became mentally imbalanced after the death of his mother, he added.
The hospital sources said there were marks of injury all over his body.
