Tower control room gutted
The control room of a Banglalink tower in Gondho-baria under Lohagara upazila was gutted in a fire originated from electric short-circuits yesterday.
The fire lasted for about an hour and burnt two generators of 30KV, 18 hundred litres of diesel, and valuables of the control room.
The control room in-charge Shekor said electric short-circuits from a running generator came in contact with the stored fuel and engulfed the room.
Fire fighters from a Narail station doused the fire.
