Three killed in road crashes

Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Magura and Dinajpur on Friday and yesterday. Our Magura correspondent reports: Two people were killed in two separate road accidents in the district yesterday. The deceased are Mokter Hossain, 50, of Bujruk-Sreekundi village in Sadar upazila and Abdur Razzak Molla, 70, of village Parnanduali in the same upazila. Police said Mokter, a night guard, was killed when a pickup van crushed him while he was returning home on Magura-Narail road in Pajakhola area around 6:00am. Police seized the vehicle. Razzak, a trader at Puratan bazaar, succumbed to his injuries at Magura Sadar Hospital around 5:00am yesterday after he was admitted to the hospital at about 11:00pm on Friday as a battery-run three-wheeler hit him and injured him critically while he was returning home riding bicycle on Magura-Faridpur highway. Our Dinajpur correspondent says: One man was killed on the spot as a Dinajpur-bound bus hit him on Dinajpur-Parbatipur road at Bhabanipur bazaar at Parbatipur upazila on Friday night. The deceased is Md Abdul Hannan, 40, son of Wahed Ali, village Rampur of the same upazila. After the accident, the bus fled away the spot, police said.
