Ten SPs transferred
The Ministry of Home Affairs yesterday posted four additional deputy inspectors general (Adl DIG's) of police and transferred 10 superintendents of police (SP) to new places.
According to an official handout of the ministry, joint commissioner of the Detective Branch (DB) Mir Shahidul Islam has been posted to the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) as its director while commanding officer (CO) of the 6th battalion and Additional DIG Md Baktiar Alam transferred to the Police Training Centre (PTC), Khulna as its commandant.
Meanwhile, the newly promoted Addional DIG Abu Musa Fakhrul Islam Khan has been posted to the Police Staff College as its director while another newly promoted Additional DIG Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun posted to the Dhaka range.
In another order, Munshiganj SP Md Shafiqul Islam has been transferred to Noakhali while Noakhali SP Harun-or-Rashid Hajari has been posted to Munshiganj as its SP. Gopalganj SP Md Kuddus Amin has been posted to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) as its deputy commissioner (DC) while DMP DC Md Monir Hossain transferred to Gopalganj as its SP.
Kushtia SP Iqramul Habib has been posted to the DMP as its DC while DMP's DC Md Mofiz Uddin transferred to Kushtia as its SP. Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Telecom AYM Belalur Rahman has been transferred to Naogaon as SP while special superintendent (SS) of the Special Branch (SB) Md Abdul Alim posted as AIG Telecom.
DC of the Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Md Monirul Islam has been transferred to Dinajpur as SP and SP Rezaul Karim who recently returned from a United Nations peacekeeping mission has been posted to Rajbari.
