BSF hands over two Bangladeshi boys

Border Security Force (BSF) of India on Friday handed over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) two Bangladeshi teenage boys who were trafficked to India four months ago. The victims were identified as Tuhin Bepari, 15, son of Jafar Bepari and Alauddin, 13, son of Mahidul Islam of North Sutalori village in Morelganj upazila. Sajib Datta, officer in-charge at Benapole port PS, said a group of human traffickers took the boys to India in the name of giving them good jobs. Later, Indian police arrested them from Dili Rail Station. A Dili based voluntary child welfare organisation later secured release of the victims from the court and kept them at their safe shelter . Later, the same organisation informed the matter to the Bangladesh Jaitya Mohila Ainjibi Samiti and on completion of necessary official formalities of both the countries, Kolkata police handed over them to BSF of Petrapol, camp. The BSF members later formally handed over the boys to Border Guard Bangladesh on Friday who handed over them to Benapole port PS. Later, police handed over the boys to the officials of Mohila Ainjibi Samiti who took the responsibility to send them to their respective families.
