Two killed in Netrakona land dispute
Two people were killed and six others injured at Paik Para village under Barhatta upazila Thursday morning during a clash over a piece of disputed land, police said.
The dead were identified as Ayesha Begum,75, wife of late Abdul Jabber and her grand daughter Tia Akther,8, daughter of Sanafor Mia of the village.
Police and local people said, there was a conflict between four sons- in-law of Ayesha Begum over her land.
Yesterday morning, 20 to 25 people led by son- in-law Lal Mia attacked the house of another son-in-law, Sanafor Mia, of same village with sharp and lethal weapons.
The attackers mercilessly killed Ayesha Begum and Tia Moni with sharp weapons at the house.
During the attack, six people in the house including Aheda Akther and Soma Akther were seriously injured.
