Criminals at work!
I would like to draw your kind attention to the danger that I faced a few days ago.
Place: In front of Noakhali Sadar Sub-register Office (Land).
Date: 07/02/2008 (Thursday). Time: about 4-30pm.
I had a land registration on that day. After completing the registration when I was leaving that place some criminals blocked me in front of the office and asked for donation saying that they had taken the land on lease from the government office concerned, and nobody would help me if they murdered me there, if I did not accept their demand.
As a law-abiding man I started bargaining with them, but I could not see any law enforcing personnel around, though all the important offices of the district headquarters were situated there!
I hope the authorities concerned will take note of the incident.
