BSF abducts fisherman
Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) abducted a Bangladeshi fisherman from Balkchar border in Chapainawabgonj Sadar upazila yesterday noon.
The victim was identified as Md. Badsha, 22, son of Saidur Rahman of Harishpur village in Shahjahanpur union of the Sadar upazila.
BDR said, a BSF team from Khanolua camp in Murshidabad picked him up from Padma river when he was catching fish on board a boat at around 2 pm.
Capt Syed Abu Hasan, Operations Officer of 39 Rifles Battalion, said, they sent a protest note but BSF did not respond to it till 6 pm yesterday.
