A Dhaka court yesterday rejected a bail petition of Nihor alias Jamsher Ali, an accused in killings of six students in Aminbazar on the outskirts of the capital in July last year. The court passed the order after Jamsher's lawyer filed an appeal against the rejection order of the lower court on July 2. Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on June 28 arrested Jamsher from Bardeshi village. Later, Jamsher gave a confessional statement before a magistrate on July 2 and was denied bail. On July 18, six boys, all school and college students, were beaten to death at Bardeshi village in Aminbazar. CID has so far arrested twelve accused in the killings.
