One arrested with arms
Police arrested an alleged arms dealer with a pistol, a locally made gun, a machete and two rounds of cartridges from in front of Customs House in Chittagong city yesterday.
The arrestee Towhidul Alam, 32, from Debarpar area in the city, is an accused in an arms case and a drug case, said police.
Acting on a tip-off, Bandar police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Towhidul with the arms and ammunition.
