Phensedyl, Yaba seized; 2 held
Police arrested an alleged drug smuggler with 170 bottles of Phensedyl and an alleged Yaba peddler with 575 pieces of Yaba tablets from Mirsarai upazila and Chittagong city respectively yesterday.
Acting on a tip-off, Mirsarai police conducted a drive in front of Brac Bank in Ambaria area and arrested Kamal Hossain, 35, hailing from Comilla, with the bottles, said police.
Later, acting on a tip-off, a team of Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police arrested Abdul Gafur, 32, of Teknaf upazila in Cox's Bazar, with the tablets from in front of Rowshan Boarding at Bahaddarhat, said DB sources.
