Why cannot we fly higher?
Biman. The first thing that this word hits a Bangladeshi is that it is an ineffective and almost totally corrupt public airlines company. Why so? It is supposed to be a proud company which represents proud Bangladeshis all over the globe.
However, it is a name of shame for Bangladeshis everywhere. I am saying all this because when I see that smaller private airlines are booming, BIMAN is shrinking. When all the other private airlines increase destinations and number of aircrafts, BIMAN cannot reach its destinations due to technical problems in the aircrafts. But this would not have happened if only the BIMAN personnel did their jobs honestly. They have to face the truth that they are completely useless and as a matter of fact 'hopeless'. As a nationalist, I hope that BIMAN will realise the nation's needs and take quick initiatives to overcome the matters at hand. They have to cut their corrupt shares completely because that is the money hardworking people of Bangladesh are paying for better service.
They have to increase their fleet and cut down staff. It is a proven fact now that Biman's staffs are a nation's 'weight'. When our very own private airline goes for Boeing 747 in way less than 35 years, then why the highly expended public airline BIMAN suffers from old DC10's? Bangladeshis all over the world want to fly higher on their own airline with the nation's flag on it.
The proud flag of Bangladesh does not deserve this ill-treatment from BIMAN.
