Mill owner held for stealing OMS wheat
A mobile court arrested an owner of a flour mill in Pirojpur on charge of stealing 10,000 kilogramme of wheat meant for Open Market Sale (OMS) on Thursday.
The arrested was Sumon Kumar Saha, an owner of Bhai Bhai Flour Mill.
Police said authorities concerned recently gave 60,000 kg wheat to the mill for crushing it.
A mobile team led by Executive Magistrate Robiul Islam raided the mill at night and found missing of 10,000 kg wheat of the total.
