'Pass amended CHT land dispute resolution act soon'
Speakers at a press conference urged the government to pass the amended Chittagong Hill Tracts Land Dispute Resolution Commission (CHTLDRC) Act, 2001 immediately to ensure land rights of the Jumma community.
CHT Jumma Refugee Welfare Association organised the event at Dhaka Reporter's Unity yesterday.
Santoshita Chakma, general secretary of the association also demanded appointment of a competent chairman to the CHTLDRC and stop of illegal land grabbing.
