Businessman killed in capital

Police yesterday recovered a businessman's blood-stained body from the ground floor of his duplex house at Road No. 51 in the capital's Gulshan-2. The victim, Mohammad Fazlul Haque, 65, a dye importer, had a deep stab wound on the neck and died due to excessive bleeding, said Dhaka Medical College morgue sources. Bloodstains were found in and outside the bedroom Fazlul was in, though there was no sign of a tussle, his mobile phone and wallet were missing and an almirah had been broken open, said police. Fazlul used to stay alone in the bedroom and other residents of the house include his wife, son, daughter-in-law, three housemaids and two security guards. Police detained the employees and two of Fazlul's drivers for interrogation.
