16 Hizb-ut Tawhid activists held
Police yesterday arrested 16 members, including four women, of Hizb-ut Tawhid at a village in Katiadi upazila.
They were arrested after being confirmed their link to the outfit, Kishoreganj police super Rezaul Karim told the news agency.
The arrestees were sent to the court seeking remand, he said.
Acting on a tip off, a team of police raided a house of a former union parisad member Fatema at Pangmashuya Betal village in the upazila around 6:00am and arrested the organisation members with huge quantity of leaflets, said police.
A case was lodged in this regard.
